The 4th

This 4th of July was spent with the Stevens!
We drove up to Battle Ground Lake together and enjoyed an afternoon picnic and watching Jude get his white shorts as dirty as possible (what was I thinking??). Being in such a beautiful and scenic area of the Northwest made me so grateful for this incredible country we live in and how truly God-blessed it is. Jude was still getting over a cold and by the end of the day my back was totally jacked up, but what's celebrating the birth of our country without a little discomfort ;).

What's funny is that he didn't even really notice Grandpa Stevens bullying him :-P
The women. Always a pleasure to spend time with my incredible mother-in-law!

The men. So nice to know we can still get them to do whatever we want.

Jude hated the fireworks and protested by promptly falling asleep.

And there you have it: Our completely and painfully normal 4th--but that just-so-happens to be the way we like it.

  1. That's my kind of 4th! Messy white clothing and all! Except it's usually an article of clothing that I'm wearing, I have a problem. And i love your skirt Brit. And I love the 'Merica picture of you + Adam. You non-smiles but a big-smile on my face. ;)
